In celebration of the 18-Day Campaign Against Violence Against Women (VAW), Libona hosted an impactful event that brought together various stakeholders. It was a remarkable gathering dedicated to raising awareness and taking action to end VAW in our community. We were honored to have the participation of esteemed guests including Mayor Aurelio B. Lopez, Vice Mayor Leonardo Genesis T.  Calingasan, and the Punong Barangays. Their presence demonstrated their commitment to addressing this pressing issue alongside dedicated individuals from different sectors.
The event highlighted the following participants who contributed to its success:
Barangay Secretaries
Barangay VAWC Desk Officers
Barangay Women Presidents
Barangay Kagawad on Peace and Order & Gender and Development
SK Chairpersons
Children Conflict with the Law (CICL) Victim and their parents
Children in Need of Special Protection (CNSP) VAWC Survivor
Child Development Workers
Judge Mirabeau Undalok, Presiding Judge of RTC 10th Judicial Region, Branch 43, graced the event as a distinguished resource speaker. His profound knowledge especially in handling VAWC cases and his experience in the field of law enriched the discussion and inspired attendees to take action.
The celebration was a significant step in creating awareness, education, and collective action against VAW. It served as a platform to strengthen our commitment to building a safer and more inclusive society where women and children can thrive.
The event was also marked by two powerful moments: a balloon release symbolizing our commitment to ending VAW and the signing of the commitment board, where attendees personally pledged to combat VAW. These actions demonstrate our unity and determination to make lasting change.
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated, supported, and made this event a resounding success. Together, let’s continue working towards eradicating violence against women and children in our community.
