Libona was ablaze with the energy of empowered women coming together at the spectacular Municipal Women’s Summit!
The day kicked off with a vibrant parade featuring the PNP Colors, the rhythmic beats of LCES Drum and Lyre, the GAD Focal Point System, the Barangay Women’s Association headed by their respective Barangay Presidents, BSU Libona Satellite Campus delegates, and the dedicated team from RVR Manpower Services. The streets were alive with enthusiasm and unity as we celebrated the strength and solidarity of women in our community!
From a lively Zumba session led by the inspiring Barangay Women Presidents to enlightening talks on self-care by none other than Councilor Honey T. Calingasan, the Chairperson of the Committee on Gender and Development, and the talk on matters relating to fire prevention with the BFP Libona Personnel, the summit was a hub of learning and empowerment. The afternoon was filled with interactions and engagements on disaster preparedness, recruitment activities, and the Women’s Food Bazaar that showcased the entrepreneurial spirit of our local businesses.
The evening was highlighted by the Ginang Libona pageant and the electrifying Inter-Barangay Modern Dance Contest. It was a night of splendor as Miss Marah Ebueza from Barangay Poblacion was crowned Ginang Libona 2024, and Barangay Pongol claimed victory in the Modern Dance Contest under the guidance of Kagawad Jumar Jaspe as the Pageant Director . The event was a testament to the power, beauty, and talent of women in Libona!
Honored by the presence of distinguished guests including Congressman Jose Manuel F. Alba, Mayor Aurelio B. Lopez, and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, alongside barangay officials and Women Presidents, the summit was indeed a success, and their support and encouragement uplifted the spirit of the event.
A heartwarming recognition ceremony paid tribute to present and former Barangay Women Presidents and outstanding women across the 14 barangays. Our community owes a debt of gratitude to these exceptional individuals for their unwavering dedication and service.
We extend our deepest appreciation to our invaluable sponsors whose generosity made this event a resounding success: Mr. Jasper Kent Ola, Mr. and Mrs. Jun LIBRANDO, the compassionate Honey Cares Foundation, and Mommy Tiyang’s Resort. Their support and kindness added an extra layer of magic to the celebrations, showcasing the true spirit of community and cooperation.
Let’s continue to champion and empower the remarkable women of Libona, united in strength, beauty, and grace!
